Dear Mamma,
Happy birthday! We wanted to give you something you could keep and come back to, whenever you need a little reminder of how much we love you.
Thank you for everything you do for us. We know there’s so much that goes into taking care of a family, and we probably don’t say thank you nearly enough. It’s easy to get caught up in our own days and forget to tell you how much we appreciate having you there.
But we do, Mamma. We appreciate the time you give us and the effort you put into making sure we’re okay, even when you have plenty of your own things to worry about. We don’t want you to ever feel that we take that for granted.
And we hope you know how much we love you, on the ordinary days too, when there isn’t a birthday or a card to remind us to say it. You mean so much to every one of us.
Today, we hope you let yourself be fussed over a little. Have a proper rest. Enjoy your cake. Let us look after you for a change. You deserve a lovely birthday, and we hope the year ahead gives you plenty of reasons to smile.
